A quieter weather pattern is trying to evolve from the current roller-coaster, and about the best we’ll do will be a slower, more gradual roller-coaster. A new system lifting across the Northeast feeds warm air ahead of some rain late Thursday – spotty showers precede the main batch of rain which falls during the night, and then temperatures drop sharply for the weekend. The next climb looks nicer – the slower pattern may give spring more of a chance to be seen, though the end result once it does finally settle down, which is still a few weeks out, looks to be a rather seasonable to seasonably cool stretch of weather.
